About the Co-op 401(k) Plan
The Co-op 401(k) Plan is a one-of-a-kind solution for cooperatives
across America looking for a quality retirement plan to attract and
retain employees. By pooling assets and resources, cooperatives
with as few as five employees to cooperatives with several hundred
employees can share in the same great features of the Co-op 401(k)
Plan. These include a call center staffed with knowledgeable
customer service representatives; a telephone hotline and Web
service center available for inquiries and transactions 24 hours a
day, seven days a week; professionally managed accounts;
newsletters written specifically for the cooperative audience; and
our Participant PlanFolders to help keep employees organized and on
top of their retirement planning.
Administered by Milliman
The Co-op 401(k) Plan is administered by Milliman, a firm of
consultants and actuaries with more than 50 years of experience in
the employee benefits industry. Milliman has administered the Co-op
401(k) Plan since 1995, consolidating the grain cooperatives of the
Midwest with the cotton gins of the South and the dairy operations
of the East under one dynamic plan. Since Milliman was hired as
administrator of the Plan, it has grown from 300 cooperatives in 13
states to more than 440 cooperatives in 26 states and from 5,000
participants to more than 12,000 participants. Together, we have
helped thousands on their journey to a comfortable retirement, and
we welcome new members into the Co-op 401(k) Plan family every
day.
